How We Work

Your design and build is in capable hands with Standard Design and we like to work with you to bring your vision to life. We begin by understanding what you want, whether it is building style, preferred colours, layouts, functionality and more. Even if you are unsure – we like to hear your ideas and add in our own too – if you want us to. At these initial stages, we believe it is important to carry out feasibility studies to make sure your property requirements and budget do not pose a constraint.

Initial Sketches

Following the initial stages, our talented team of creative designers start to bring your ideas to life with detailed concepts in the form of sketches. This stage is where you will want to add your own input too so we can move onto the next set of plans for the build. With help from our team if you want it, you can select your materials, fixtures and fittings. We are prepared to make as many changes as you need to get to a final set of plans that you cannot wait to see unfold.

3D Renders

The next step is to create 3D renders which gives you plenty of scope and you can see how your build will look when it is complete from any angle. If you want to make changes, we can still add or remove aspects until it is absolutely perfect.

Paperwork

Leave it to our team to organise the paperwork for building control approval from your local authority and if so, we will organise the paperwork. In addition, we will submit engineer’s reports and structural calculations to speed up the process.

FINANCIAL APPRAISAL

We will provide you with a fixed price quote listing every item so you know the exact costs. As well as a quote, we will provide you with a detailed construction programme and organise every element. You will have your own project manager who will be there for you whenever you need them and will take you through the project from concept to completion.

The Build

Your build will start to take shape and we guarantee a seamless process with a meticulous team in place to make sure every single aspect is taken care of, no matter how large or small. Only once you’re completely happy, we will ask for your sign-off.
